Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Joplin, Slick, Santana and Hendrix all
on my stage at the same time? Well sort of, “Back to the Garden 1969”
gives a great evening of music and "respect" to these guys and more. I
had to work that weekend in 1969, Their show brings me back to those
days,( if only I had quit my job, jumped on the bike, and up the
thruway!). This is a great show and they really mix it up every time
with a great sampling of what was there those three days in August 1969.
When you see “Back to the Garden 1969” on our schedule don't wait, they
sell out fast!.

“Back To The Garden 1969” recreates the music of the event that

bring you back to those three days and for many of us it is a moving and
wonderful experience. Belongs on Broadway.

On July 7th, 2010 “Back to the Garden 1969” performed at the City of
Peekskill’s Summer Concert Series. I have to say that from start to
finish working with Gary and the Band was beyond enjoyable. Gary was
professional and so easy to work with I knew that this was going to be a
great experience. “Back to the Garden 1969” gave the residents of
Peekskill a night to remember. The music and vocals were amazing. The
audience was dancing and singing to the music. So many people commented
on how the music reminded them of “the good old days.” The feedback from
the residents of Peekskill was so positive that before the concert was
even over I was being asked “when are they going to perform again”? If
you have an opportunity to bring “Back to the Garden 1969” to your
community, do it! They really are amazing!

If you are looking for a band that plays the classic music of Woodstock
as it deserves to be played, it is my pleasure to recommend, “Back To
The Garden 1969.” We were fortunate to be able to host these five
talented performers on the 40th anniversary of Woodstock on August 15,
2009. They delivered an exciting musical journey back to the late 1960s.
So much that we booked the bank to play an encore performance shortly
afterwards. Combining superb harmonies with flawless musicianship, there
are more than a few moments when you can imagine how it must have felt
to actually be at Woodstock (thankfully, minus the mud, rain and bad
drugs). Just close your eyes and listen to keyboardist Bob Fonseca’s
vocal tribute to Joe Cocker’s “A Little Help From My Friends,” or “
Feelin' Alright.” Gary Adamson’s and Mike Garner’s precise homage to
Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young can only be attributed to decades of
musical experience together. Larry Kelly on lead guitar commands your
attention with an arsenal of classic rock technique and strong lead
vocals. And just when you least expect it, Annie Masciandaro steps out
from her drums to center stage and blows the house down with songs by
Grace Slick and Janis Joplin.
Whoever gives them an opportunity to play will be well rewarded.

As the Executive Producer of over 45 televised concerts from the Hard
Rock Live and numerous other rock concert venues, I have experienced
some really great live music. I recently attended a concert by the band
“ Back To The Garden 1969,” and this group of musicians has captured the
sound and feeling of the Woodstock Festival. I was truly amazed and
excited to hear songs from almost every Woodstock band performed with
such passion and excellence. Not only does “Back To The Garden 1969”
perfectly reproduce the songs of the great rock legends such as The Who,
Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Santana, Joe Cocker and The Jefferson
Airplane, but they perform Crosby, Stills and Nash to perfection. This
is the truest Woodstock music experience you will ever find.

How
about freakin' unbelievable. That was my impression. You guys rocked. I
was at the original - which was beyond superb. I went to the 40th at
Bethel. Your show last night blew away the anniversary show. Anyway
thanks for the great time and for the memories.

You guys were tremendous!! There's nothing better
than listening to seasoned musicians grace us with the refined energy of
their craft. Your ability to take us back to that time in our music history
really created a good feeling in my heart. I think you hit the nail on the
head since the music appeals to a wide audience. I look forward to making
the next gig, and I will certainly spread the word...Thank you for having
us!

My wife, son and I had the
opportunity to see Gary Adamson and his “Back to the Garden 1969”
band at the Towne Crier Café in Pawling, NY on August 30, 2009. The group
has a great line up on keyboard, guitar, acoustic guitar, bass and drums.
They each have tremendous energy and obvious love for this music. They
played a very tight two hour set! What struck me is how well the group
worked out the vocal harmonies, the arrangements and the parts played by
each instrument – all were very true to the original recordings.
Some particular favorites…
Loved the layered harmonies on all the Crosby, Stills & Nash cuts; Bob doing
lead vocals on Joe Cocker’s “A Little Help From My Friends;” Gary’s John
Fogerty vocals on several Creedence songs. And lastly, they blew the roof
off with Santana’s “Soul Sacrifice” late in the set. Also later on,
the band showed fantastic versatility by bringing its drummer Annie out in
front to do Janis Joplin and Grace Slick (Jefferson Airplane) lead vocals.
Looking
forward to hearing them again!

Thank you so much for helping to make our wedding a
success! We got rave reviews on the band. As a matter of fact we may come
out to an upcoming gig and bring my brother and sister-in-law. Many of our
friends are fans of yours and they enjoyed the show as usual.

Fantastic! We loved it. Great
energy, too. My only suggestion is to keep it together past the anniversary
year.

The multi-instrumental abilities
of “Back To The Garden 1969,” and their five distinctively different
lead vocalists really help to capture the sound and spirit of Woodstock. We
had a great time at their show!
